8 Tips To Help You Quickly Change Your Mood
So, your day is going great! You’re in high spirits with an optimistic outlook. Then, out of the blue, “it” happens the one thing that manages to simultaneously knock you off balance while zapping any trace of enthusiasm. It all goes down within minutes. Your optimistic outlook is now a thing of the past as you contend with the hardship of the moment. “I’m over it!” begs to become your mood for the rest of the day. However, when you focus on what’s going wrong, it only eclipses all the good things around you. Sometimes life throws us a curveball, but the key is to stay in the game and quickly change your mood.

Don’t Be Foolish!
Anger and frustration can be easy go-to emotions that seem challenging to let go of, ultimately causing us to react to things that are not worthy of our attention. Reacting out in anger or frustration never produces the result that we want. At the moment, we may feel vindicated and empowered, “Yeah, I told them!” However, the feeling never lasts. What often takes over are emotions of guilt and shame. We feel terrible for hurting someone else’s feelings and ashamed that we could not control our behavior. We may feel foolish. Just look at Ecclesiastes 7:9.
“Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools.” Ecclesiastes 7:9
Pick Your Battles
It is not always easy to shift your emotions or to restrain them completely. However, it is worth it in certain circumstances. You have to pick your battles and never forget who’s fighting for you! Knowing that God’s in charge is all the power that we need!
